About me
Designer based in The Netherlands
Hi, I’m Sasha, a graphic designer with a background in Media Communications (University of the Arts, London) and Science and Technology Studies (Maastricht University). I’m a problem-solver who loves the excitement of stage 0 of building a new brand. My strength is my ability to break down and translate these abstract thoughts into creative, thoughtful and pragmatic designs.
I currently live in the Netherlands but I have worked for clients in the UK, Denmark, Greece and India. Being exposed to diverse cultures gives me a global perspective that has enriched my design practice. In each project, I bring an awareness of the larger context without losing sight of the details.
Outside of work, I love engaging in different forms of arts and crafts. I'm currently learning stick and poke tattooing and practising my hobby in photography. I also enjoy reading and watching science fiction, attending music festivals, swimming and engaging in mental health practices.

2022 - Present
Design consultant & Up-skilling
Currently, I consult for Good Measure, a non-profit in the baking and food industry. I conceptualised their brand Identity, produced detailed guidelines and provide design support and art direction for ongoing marketing requirements.
In addition, I'm levelling up to a more holistic and multi-disciplinary designer by learning Figma and Webflow through online courses, experimentation and freelance projects. Simultaneously, I'm deepening my knowledge of UI/UX principles and web design.

2021 - 2022
Maastricht University
My Master's in Science, Technology and Society from Maastricht University gave me a deeper understanding of the social, ethical, and political implications of techno-scientific developments on society. I picked up skills such as contextual thinking and research. This perfectly complemented my Bachelor's in Media Communications from UAL.
Together, my education and experience enable me to bring a critical perspective to my design practice and to address complex challenges with creativity and empathy.

2019 - 2021
Paytm Insider
A high-impact role at a fast-growing SaaS company to host tickets for live and digital events. As the Senior Brand Designer, I liaised with external agencies to spearhead a rebrand, worked across teams to conceptualise and execute 50+ marketing campaigns and created an extensive library of communication assets.
I mentored 3 junior designers and worked with the design manager to implement process systems, create scalable guidelines and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen the team. I also stepped in to help the product design team when needed.

2016 - 2019
Freelance
As a freelance designer, I offered branding and identity, creative direction, marketing communication and visual design services. I worked with clients in fashion, e-commerce, mental health and F&B, to name a few. I also consulted for a real estate firm and visual design agency.
I worked closely with my clients to decode briefs, extract the essence of their service or product, study the market and target audience, and translate this into aesthetic visuals. I managed budgets, timelines and design expectations across multiple projects and simultaneously worked with diverse stakeholders to maintain brand alignment.
